Freedom Writers

Hi to introduce myself my name is Stacey Ferguson and I recently graduated from Evangel University with a bachelors degree in Social Work and a minor in Spanish. I have now had a social work job for about 5 months. The reason that I titled this bloq "Freedom Writers" is because many of you have seen the movie. I watched it for the first time. This movie challenged me because as a social worker sometimes one gets tired of working with people who continually need financial assistance and psych placements. The work can get exhausting at times. As I was watching the movie and watching how the teacher (Hillary Swank) loved those kids no matter what happened around her no matter how rude they were to her in the beginning and soon she earned their respect. I say all of that to say this. No matter how exhausting your job is every day wake up and ask God "Lord what new and exciting things are you going to show me at work and who can I help today." I pray that every day I wake up God will give me a new insight to showing me his plan that he has for my life. Remember we can't do anything without him so why try. Cast your cares upon the Lord he wants our burdens.
